What jobs are in demand now?

Hello!  I know it's been some time since I last added to this blog, my apologies.  I was reading a blog post today from someone in the recruiting and staffing industry that I highly respect for all I have learned from him through courses I have taken as well as his blogs.  His name is Scott Wintrip and he has a business (Wintrip Consulting / Staffing U) that does a great deal of training for sales professionals and recruiters.  


I know the news about the economy can be optimistic one day and gloom and doom the next, it's all in what the perspective is and what message they are trying to sell us.  So when this kind of info is available and analyzed by Scott, I just had to share.

Another interesting statistic I heard during a recent webinar about the job market is that there is a lot of talk about our unemployment rate being in the area of 9% (depending on the area you are in this can vary a bit).  What is interesting to note is that if you take the segment of the population and look at people who have some college or have a degree, in that group the unemployment rate is 4.4%, which changes your perspective dramatically if you think about it.   Something to think about....
